The MultiPlus C 12/1600/70-16 from Victron (MPN: CMP122160000) is a powerful combination of devices for your energy supply system. It combines a 12V 1300W sine wave inverter and an efficient battery charger. This delivers an impressive 70A, so even large batteries can be charged quickly when shore power or mains power is available. The inverter converts the battery power into 230V AC, providing optimal power quality for sensitive electronic devices. In addition, the MultiPlus has a lightning-fast 16A transfer switch, making it ideal for motorhomes, boats, yachts, and grid-connected UPS systems. Massive power expansion possible

In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can also be combined to form a powerful three-phase output configuration. But that's not all—up to six sets of three units each can be connected in parallel to achieve an impressive 75kW / 90kVA inverter power and over 2,000A charging capacity.

PowerControl

The MultiPlus is an extremely powerful battery charger that requires a relatively large amount of power from the generator or shore power connection (almost 10A per 5kVA Multi at 230V AC). However, with the Multi Control remote control panel, you can easily set the maximum power consumption. It automatically takes into account the other connected devices and only uses the excess power for charging. This ensures that the generator or shore power connection is never overloaded.

PowerAssist

This feature takes the PowerControl principle to a new level. The MultiPlus can now effectively support weak alternative energy sources. Since load peaks often occur only briefly, the device combination ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. As soon as the loads decrease, i.e., when consumers are switched off, the excess energy can be efficiently used to charge the batteries again.

System configuration

You can easily adjust the settings on a single device within a few minutes using a DIP switch procedure. Parallel and three-phase systems can be conveniently configured with the VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software. Off-grid, grid-connected, and self-consumption systems in which grid-tie inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers are used can be easily configured with the appropriate wizard software.
