Advantages of the integrated heating pad
- Protection against charging damage: LiFePO₄ cells must not be charged below 0 °C, otherwise lithium plating occurs. This causes permanent damage to the battery and can drastically shorten its lifespan.
- Maintaining charging capability: To allow charging even at low temperatures, the heating pad warms the cells to a safe temperature.
- Optimized performance: Cold reduces usable capacity and power output. A heated battery can deliver more energy and operate more efficiently.
