The VE.Bus Smart Dongle from Victron Energy (MPN ASS030537010) combines two products in one: Firstly, it enables Victron inverters/chargers to be paired with VE.Bus Port via Bluetooth with your smartphone or tablet, and secondly, it adds voltage and temperature monitoring to these devices, which is particularly useful when used with the Multiplus 2, as it does not have integrated terminals for voltage and temperature sensor cabling.
Use your VE.Bus products with the VictronConnect app
First, it is the Bluetooth accessory for our inverters/chargers: Multis, MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, MultiGrid, MultiGrid-II, Quattros, and our Phoenix Inverter series with VE.Bus connection. After installation, use the VictronConnect app to monitor operation and operate the system: change the input current limit and switch between Off, On, and Charger Only modes.
Secondly, it adds voltage and temperature sensing to the inverters/chargers. It works with all models and is particularly useful in combination with the MultiPlus-II, as it does not have integrated terminals for voltage and temperature sensor wiring.
The device is a good alternative for monitoring in caravans, smaller yachts, and motorhomes for which the Color Control GX or Venus GX are uneconomical or simply not desired, or because it is simply more convenient to quickly access the desired information via smartphone.
