The backup systems from Offgridtec are ideal for emergency power supply or for expanding an existing solar system. The systems include, in addition to lithium-ion batteries from Pylontech, a suitable MultiPlus-II inverter and a Cerbo GX MK2 for system monitoring. This ensures that you can maintain your energy supply even in the event of a power outage.

Thanks to the UPS function, the MultiPlus remains active even during a network error and takes over the supply of connected consumers. The switch-over occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

Extended use of your backup system

To establish an ESS (Energy Storage System) with the backup system, an energy meter with connection cable is required:

• Victron VM-3P75CT Energy Meter 3-phase meter 75A/phase
• 5m Victron RJ45 UTP cable

With this energy meter, you can perform a grid-connected installation and then monitor your energy consumption or control your energy costs. Thanks to phase compensation, you could even use the 3-phase meter for single-phase systems. This allows seamless integration of decentralized energy sources and consumers into the existing power grid.

In order for an ESS to be considered in the pre-configuration, the meter must be purchased in advance or together with the system!

The storage solution – Pylontech US5000C batteries

The US3000C storage is a lithium battery of the latest generation. It has been specifically designed to meet the high demands placed on backup storage. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, the highest safety and a long service life are guaranteed even with regular deep discharging.

The electronic core – the Victron MultiPlus-II device combination

The MultiPlus-II is a high-end device combination from Victron Energy, consisting of a 48V battery charger, inverter, and transfer switch. This combination unites the classic MultiPlus components with an external current sensor and integrated anti-island function. As a result, the functions PowerControl and PowerAssist are extended to 50A, and the potential application area is expanded to energy storage system applications. Therefore, the MultiPlus can be ideally used as a backup device in grid-connected and off-grid systems for power supply.

With the Cerbo GX MK2 communication hub, you can easily control and monitor your system. The flexible connection options maximize your system performance.
