Growatt Smart Energy Manager SEM-E 100 kW

The Smart Energy Manager (SME-E 100kW) from Growatt is designed for intelligent monitoring of self-consumption and limiting the export of solar and storage systems. It also has the ability to provide flexible current transformers (CTs) for different system sizes with high control accuracy. Its fail-safe function also ensures the safety and reliability of the system. It is also used for parallel connection of the Growatt SPH series. This allows you to connect multiple inverters and systems together.

Components of the Smart Energy Manager

• ShineMaster: This is the control core and serves as data communication with the inverter and the electricity meter. It implements the inverter power control function and remote monitoring. It can also be used for parallel connection of SPH inverters.
• Electricity meter: Displays voltage, current, and operating parameters in real-time monitoring.
• Power supply: Power supply for the ShineMaster.
• Circuit breaker: Controls the start and shutdown of the electricity meter and power supply.
• Connection terminal: This is where the cabling is carried out.

The Smart Energy Manager supports both grid-connected and hybrid/AC-connected inverters and works as follows: The inverter converts the direct current generated by the sun in the photovoltaic string into alternating current. The energy generated by the inverter can be used for user loads, battery charging, or feeding into the grid. The Smart Energy Manager is located between the inverter, the user load, and the grid and measures the voltage and current of the grid connection point. Depending on the user's needs and settings, the output power of the inverter is adjusted in real time to control the final feed-in to the grid.
