A maximum mains or generator current can be set on the MultiPlus-II 48/6k5/100-50 230V. The MultiPlus-II takes other connected AC consumers into account and only uses the "leftover" current to charge the battery. This prevents the generator or mains connection from being overloaded (PowerControl function). The PowerAssist function adds a new dimension to the PowerControl principle: in the event of short-term load peaks, the MultiPlus-II immediately compensates for insufficient generator, shore power, or mains power with energy from the battery. When the load drops again, the excess energy can be used to charge the batteries.

Solar power: AC power even during a power failure

The device can be used with both off-grid and grid-connected PV systems as well as other alternative energy systems. It can be combined with both solar charge controllers and grid-connected inverters. This ensures a secure and continuous AC power supply even in the event of a power failure.

Maximum flexibility thanks to two AC outputs

The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a power failure or an interruption in the land/generator power supply, the MultiPlus-II takes over the supply to the connected consumers. The switchover is so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other sensitive devices is guaranteed. The second output only supplies power when AC power is available at the input of the MultiPlus-II. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output.

Many options for system expansion

The settings can be changed in a matter of minutes using the VEConfigure software (requires a computer or laptop and an MK3 USB interface). Several monitoring and control options are available: Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, laptop, computer, Bluetooth (with the optional VE.Bus Smart Dongle), battery monitor, Digital Multi control panel.

Remote configuration and monitoring

Install a Color Control GX or another GX product to connect to the internet. The operating data can be stored and viewed on the free VRM (Victron Remote Management) platform. If systems are connected to the internet, they can be accessed remotely and settings can be changed.
