The EasyPlus from Victron Energy (mpn cep121620000) combines a powerful 12v inverter with an output of 1600va and an advanced 70a battery charger in a single, lightweight and compact housing. This integrated solution offers convenience and freedom without the need to spend time installing individual components or complex technical procedures.

With the ability to power a variety of electrical devices and applications with a clean and stable sine wave while efficiently charging the batteries, the EasyPlus ensures reliable power without interruptions, exactly when it is needed. Thanks to the unique PowerAssist® functionality, it can increase the power required from the batteries when shore power or generator power is limited. In addition, an integrated residual current device (rcd) ensures maximum safety.

How the EasyPlus works

The Victron EasyPlus is connected to batteries and the shore connection/generator. the maximum current can be set via the control panel. Consumers are divided into two groups: The first includes "normal" consumers such as kitchen appliances, which can be supplied both from the shore connection/generator and from the batteries via the inverter. The second contains loads such as the hot water boiler, which are operated exclusively via the generator/shore connection in order to protect the batteries.

PowerControl and PowerAssist functions

PowerControl enables the optimum use of limited shore or generator power through settings via the Multi Control Panel (available as an option). The EasyPlus takes other connected loads into account and forwards excess power to the battery charger to avoid overloading.

The PowerAssist function extends this principle by offering additional usage options for the on-board generator and shore connection. The EasyPlus can supplement the output of other voltage sources to reduce the generator size during load peaks or to achieve more with limited shore power.

Automatic and uninterruptible switching

If a power failure occurs or the generator is switched off, MultPlus seamlessly switches to inverter operation to immediately supply the connected loads with power. This switchover takes place in less than 20 milliseconds, which is sufficient to continue the operation of computers or other electronic devices without interruption. This functionality is similar to that of an uninterruptible power supply system (UPS), which ensures a continuous power supply during a power outage.

Adaptable 4-stage charging characteristics

The EasyPlus has an adaptable 4-stage charging characteristic that Bulk, Absorption, Float and Storage is included. This is made possible by a microprocessor-controlled 'adaptive' battery management system that can be set according to the different battery types. Thanks to this flexibility, the optimum charging process is automatically selected for the respective battery type.

The battery protection mode

EasyPlus activates the battery protection mode to prevent damage caused by excessive gassing. If fast battery charging is required, a high constant current is used at a high voltage. To prevent excessive gassing, EasyPlus limits the voltage rise rate when the gassing voltage is reached.
