Offgridtec backup systems are ideal for emergency power supply or for expanding an existing solar system. In addition to lithium-ion batteries from Pylontech, the systems include a matching MultiPlus-II inverter and a Cerbo GX MK2 for system monitoring from Victron Energy. This allows you to ensure your energy supply even in the event of a power failure.
Thanks to the UPS function, the MultiPlus remains switched on even in the event of a mains failure and takes over the supply to the connected consumers. The switchover is so fast (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices can be guaranteed.

Extended use of your backup system
To set up an ESS (Energy Storage System) with the backup system, you will need an energy meter with a connection cable:
With this electricity meter, you can set up a grid-parallel installation and then monitor your energy consumption or control your energy coststhanks to phase compensation, you can even use the 3-phase meter for 1-phase systems. This makes seamless integration of decentralized energy sources and consumers into the existing power grid no problem at all.
In order for an ESS to be included in the preconfiguration, the meter must be purchased in advance or with the system!
The storage solution – Pylontech US3000C batteries
The US3000C storage unit is a latest-generation lithium battery. It was specially designed to meet the high demands placed on backup storage. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, maximum safety and a long service life are guaranteed, even with regular deep discharge.

The electronic core – the Victron Multiplus-II device combination
The Multiplus-II 48/5000/70-50 is a high-end device combination from Victron Energy (MPN PMP482505010) that combines classic Multiplus components with an external current sensor and integrated anti-islanding function. This extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 100 A and expands the potential range of applications to include ESS applications. The inverter module delivers a full 5000 W with non-linear loads and 4000 W with linear continuous loads. The 48 V battery charger is also very well proportioned with a charging capacity of 70 A and is supplemented by a 50 A transfer switch that allows you to switch back and forth between the AC connections in a flash.

Always enough power thanks to PowerControl and PowerAssist
A maximum mains or generator current can be set on the MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50. The MultiPlus-II then takes other connected AC consumers into account and only uses the "leftover" current to charge the battery. This prevents the generator or mains connection from being overloaded (PowerControl function). The PowerAssist function adds a new dimension to the PowerControl principle. Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such cases, the MultiPlus-II immediately compensates for insufficient generator, shore power, or mains power with energy from the battery. When the load is reduced, i.e., when consumers are switched off, the energy that is then available again can be used to charge the batteries.
Maximum flexibility thanks to two AC outputs
The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a mains failure or an interruption in shore power/generator power, the MultiPlus-II takes over the supply to the connected consumers. The switchover is so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed. The second output only supplies power when AC power is available at the input of the MultiPlus-II. Loads that must not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output.
Remote configuration and monitoring
Install a Color Control GX or other GX products to connect to the internet. The operating data can be stored and viewed free of charge on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) website. If systems are connected to the internet, they can be accessed remotely and settings can be changed.
