Votronic 3063 StandBy Charger Pro 12V
Shipped in 1-3 days
The Standby Charger Pro 12V (MPN 3063) from Votronic is designed for automatic recharging and charge maintenance of the starter battery in vehicles with two battery circuitsunlike conventional standby chargers, the Standby Charger Pro has an adjustable undervoltage limit at the input, which prevents the battery from being completely discharged. If the input battery is charged via, for example, a mains charger, a solar system, or similar, the output battery is charged at a maximum of 8 A to the previously set voltage.
The charge maintenance function operates automatically and is indicated by an increased voltage level in the starter battery. The charger is connected between the input and output batteries and has two independent 12V control inputs: "EN" for activation and "DIS" for deactivation. The adjustable cut-off voltage of 12-14V prevents deep discharge of the battery connected to the input. Using the StandBy-Charger can significantly extend the service life of the battery.
about the StandBy-Charger Pro 12V
- IU charging characteristic
- passive cooling without fan
- strong output current of max. 8A
- Adjustable cut-off voltage from 12-24V
- Adjustable charging termination voltage from 12.5-14.5V
- compatible with lead, AGM, and lithium (LiFePO4) batteries
- Charge converter for recharging and maintaining the starter battery
- 2 LEDs indicate operating status
- reliable operation thanks to overheating protection
- 2 independent control inputs: EN (activate) and DIS (deactivate)
- Upward and downward conversion of input to output voltage possible
- StandBy Charger can be switched on externally via a switch and switched off during driving, e.g., via D+
- Also works if the voltage of the battery to be supplied is lower than that of the battery to be charged
Compared to the 3065 or 6065 StandBy Charger
Modern lithium (LiFePO4) batteries have a significantly higher open-circuit voltage than starter batteries (lead, AGM). When using simple, unregulated, and uncontrolled StandBy chargers, this leads to the complete discharge of the lithium supply battery. Therefore, the StandBy Charger (item no. 3065 or 6065) is unfortunately not suitable for these. The Votronic StandBy Charger Pro, on the other hand, has an adjustable undervoltage limit at the input. Charging is interrupted when the voltage falls below this level. This means that it can be used without any problems with a modern lithium (LiFePO4) battery as a supply battery without running the risk of completely discharging it.
