You need this VE.Can to CAN bus BMS cable from Victron (MPN ASS030710050) to connect a CAN bus-compatible battery that is not from Victron to a Victron GX device. The cable, with a length of 5 m, corresponds to type A, which can be used for the following batteries:
- BYD B-Box
- Pylontech US2000C / US3000C / UP5000 / Force-L
Installation
The side labeled "CAN-Bus BMS" is plugged into the battery. The other side, labeled "VE.Can," must be connected either to the VE.Can port of the GX device or to the BMS-Can port. Both port types on a GX device can be configured for use with a third-party CAN bus battery connected to a BMS. For configuration information, refer to the manual for the battery you are using.
