Victron SmartShunt IP65 1000A/50mV battery monitor

The intelligent SmartShunt 1000A from Victron Energy is a multifunctional battery monitor that allows you to view all the information you need on your cell phone or via the VictronConnect appthis gives you easy access to all monitored battery parameters. This includes the state of charge, remaining runtime, historical data, and much more. Alternatively, you can connect the SmartShunt to a GX device, such as a Cerbo GX or Color Control GX, and read information from it. The connection is made via a VE.Direct cable. The waterproof battery monitor is also an excellent option for BMV battery monitoring. This is particularly useful in systems where battery monitoring is required but less cabling and clutter is desired.

Why monitor batteries?

Batteries are used in a wide range of applications, mostly to store energy for future use. However, the actual amount of energy stored cannot be read directly from the battery. Factors such as undercharging or overcharging, deep discharge, excessive charging or discharging currents, and high ambient temperatures can shorten the battery's service life. An advanced battery monitor allows you to monitor these factors and provides important feedback to you as the user. This allows you to take appropriate measures to extend the battery life profitably if necessary. The investment in the battery monitor therefore pays for itself quickly.

The VictronConnect app

The app is essential for setup and monitoring! The following connection options are available:
