Victron Quattro-II 24/5000/120-50 230V
Shipped in 10-14 Werktage
The Quattro-II 24/5000/120-50 230V (MPN QUA242505010) from Victron Energy is, similar to the MultiPlus-II, a combination of inverter and charger. It can also accept two AC inputs and automatically connect to the active source. This elegant solution offers numerous functions such as those of a true sine wave inverter and includes an adaptive charging function, Hybrid PowerAssist technology, and several options for system integration, including 3-phase or split-phase operation, as well asParallel operation, in which up to 6 Quattro II units can be interconnected when high power is required.
The permanently integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 120A, allowing even large batteries to be fully charged quickly when shore power is available. The 24V sine wave voltage converter built into the Quattro-II converts your battery power into 230V AC. Thanks to the true sine wave, the power quality is also perfectly suited for sensitive electronic devices.
Key features of the Quattro-II 24/5000/120-50 230V
- Device combination of inverter with transfer switch and 120A battery charger
- delivers pure 230V sine wave voltage and a clean 50Hz frequency
- 2 AC inputs and outputs with integrated transfer switch
- autonomous operation in the event of a power failure
- supports three-phase operation (3 identical units of the same model required) and delivers 72kW/90kVA inverter power and more than 2100A charging capacity.
- built-in battery motor (ideal solution when the Quattro II is part of a hybrid system)
- PowerControl function allows operation with limited generator power as well as limited shore or grid power
- PowerAssist function enables "power boost" of generators and shore power support when needed
- programmable relay (e.g., as a generator start relay)
- very high efficiency and low internal consumption
Two AC inputs and two AC outputs
The Quattro-II can be connected to two independent AC sources, such as a shore power connection and a generator, or even to two generators. The main output ensures uninterrupted functionality. If a power failure occurs or the connection to the shore power or generator power is interrupted, the Quattro-II takes over the supply to the connected loads. The switchover is so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed. The second output only supplies power when AC power is available at one of the Quattro's inputs. Consumers that must not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output.
PowerControl - Optimizing the power supply with limited AC power
The Quattro-II is capable of providing a very high charging current. This places a heavy load on the AC supply or generator. For this reason, a maximum current can be set. The Quattro-II then takes into account the existing consumption and only uses the "excess" The AC input AC-in-1, to which a generator is usually connected, can be set to a fixed maximum value so that the generator is never overloaded. - The AC input AC-in-2 can also be set to a fixed maximum value. However, for mobile applications (boats, vehicles), a variable setting using the Multi Control Panel is usually preferred. This allows the maximum shore power to be easily adjusted to the available values.
PowerAssist - Extended usage options for generator or shore power
This function adds a new dimension to the PowerControl principle, as the Quattro-II can support an alternative source that is too weak. Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such cases, the Quattro-II ensures that insufficient mains or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. When the load is reduced, i.e., when consumers are switched off, the energy that is then available again can be used to charge the batteries.
ESS - Energy storage systems (feeding energy back into the grid)
If the Quattro-II is used in a configuration in which it feeds energy back into the power grid, it is necessary to enable compliance with the grid code by selecting the appropriate country setting for the grid code using the VEConfigure tool. Once the appropriate connection conditions have been set, these conditions or individual parameters can only be deactivated or changed using a password. If the local grid code is not supported by the Quattro-II, an external certified interface device should be used to connect the Quattro-II to the power grid. The Quattro-II can also be used as a two-sided, grid-independent inverter integrated into a customer-specific system (PLC or other) that takes over the control loop and grid measurement.
