With lead-acid batteries, it is crucial to keep the constant voltage phase short during shallow discharges to avoid overcharging the battery. However, after a deep discharge, the constant voltage phase is automatically extended to ensure that the battery is fully charged. The Orion XS offers fully programmable charging algorithms and eight pre-programmed battery settings.
