Despite potentially higher acquisition costs compared to AGM or GEL batteries, investing in Victron's LFP batteries proves worthwhile in most cases in the long term. With an impressive service life of up to 5000 cycles, it exceeds the maximum service life of even the best lead-acid batteries many times over. The LFP 12.8/50 also impresses with considerable space and weight savings of 70% in each case. An outstandingly high energy efficiency of 92% compared to 80% for lead-acid batteries is particularly important for off-grid systems such as grid-independent solar and/or wind power systems.

Parallel and series connection

Victron Energy Smart Lithium batteries can be connected in series, parallel, and series/parallel to build a battery bank for system voltages of 12V, 24V, or 48V. A maximum of 20 batteries can be used in a system, enabling a maximum energy storage capacity of 84kWh in a 12V system and up to 102kWh in a 24V and 48V system. This flexibility allows you to create customized battery solutions for different requirements and system configurations. The use of Victron Smart Lithium batteries guarantees reliable and efficient energy storage.

With the VictronConnect app, you have control over your LiFePO4 batteries at all times. You can conveniently monitor cell voltages, temperature, and alarm status via Bluetooth. Thanks to the instant display in the app's device list, you can view important data immediately without having to establish a direct connection to the product. This feature is extremely useful for quickly identifying and locating any problems, such as cell imbalance. With the VictronConnect app, you can keep an eye on your energy supply at all times – easily and effectively.

NOTE: For safe use, it is essential to use an additional battery management system (BMS). The BMS ensures the protection of the battery cells by interrupting or switching off the load when the voltage of a cell falls below 2.8V. The BMS also stops charging when the voltage of a cell rises above 3.75V and protects the system by shutting down the cells when the temperature exceeds a certain value. With the BMS, you can ensure the safety and performance of your batteries.
