The 10W Offgridtec OLP V2 solar module (MPN: 3-01-018465) features an overlapping wafer design and advanced PERC technology. Thanks to its small size, this module isit is the revised version of the popular OLP 10W 12V solar module (MPN 3-01-013100).

In the new version, the solar modules are equipped with both improved solar cells and 11 busbars, which leads to improved light absorption and reduces the effect of partial shading

Overlapping design

The overlapping in the wafer design of monocrystalline solar modules is crucial for their exceptionally high module efficiency. It enables more precise use of the available surface area, minimizes power losses through reduced line resistance, and limits material losses during production. The targeted arrangement of the wafers effectively minimizes gaps between them, thereby increasing power density and optimizing the overall efficiency of the modules. This method is therefore particularly advantageous for solar applications in rooms with limited space, as it maximizes energy production per unit area.

Innovative PERC technology

The PERC technology in Offgridtec OLP solar modules significantly increases the efficiency of the solar cells. It uses a dielectric layer with tiny laser-drilled holes to reflect light back into the cell. This not only improves absorption at longer wavelengths, such as at flat angles of incidence or in cloudy conditions, but also provides additional opportunities for photons to generate electricity. This technology optimizes energy yield across different light conditions, reduces overall costs, and maximizes yield per unit area.
