The 100W Offgridtec OLP V2 (MPN: 018475) combines overlapping wafer design and modern PERC technology. Its optimized performance, compact dimensions, and modern appearance make it ideal for 12V systems and various applications that require a powerful, space-saving energy source.
It is the improved version of the popular OLP 100W 12V solar module (MPN 3-01-011070), which offers optimal performance and a compact design for flexible installations. The increased short-circuit current and module voltage significantly boost overall performance. The new version features solar modules equipped with both improved solar cells and 11 busbars, which leads to improved light absorption and reduces the impact of partial shading

Overlapping design
The overlapping in the wafer design of monocrystalline solar modules is crucial for their exceptionally high module efficiency. It enables more precise use of the available surface area, minimizes power losses through reduced line resistance, and limits material losses during production. The targeted arrangement of the wafers effectively minimizes gaps between them, thereby increasing power density and optimizing the overall efficiency of the modules. This method is therefore particularly advantageous for solar applications in rooms with limited space, as it maximizes energy production per unit area.
Innovative PERC technology
PERC technology, also known as Passivated Emitter Rear Cell or rear passivation, is a key technology in Offgridtec OLP solar modules that increases the efficiency of solar cells. It creates a dielectric layer between the conventional aluminum metallization and the silicon wafer layer on the back of the cell. This layer is treated with a laser that creates tiny holes. This dielectric layer reflects light that would normally penetrate to the rear without generating charge carriers back into the solar cell. This gives photons an additional chance to generate electricity. PERC technology improves efficiency across different wavelengths, increases the likelihood that electrons will contribute to power generation, and helps to reduce system costs and increase energy yield per unit area.
