The semi-flexible ETFE-AL 120W V2 solar panel from Offgridtec (MPN 018430) is based on a groundbreaking material composition (aluminum-ETFE) and is equipped with highly effective mono cells. The output voltage is 18V DC, which makes it very interesting for a wide range of application scenarios. In addition, it is walkable and significantly more slip-resistant than its predecessors, making it the perfect choice for marine and mobile applications. The power is supplied by state-of-the-art solar cells, which, thanks to the latest technology, boast impressive cell efficiency and also stand out from the crowd with low power degradation values.
This is the new and improved version of the popular ETFE-AL 120W solar panel (3-01-011050). The new version features solar modules equipped with both improved solar cells and 11 busbars, which leads to improved light absorption and reduces the effect of partial shading.

ETFE layers

On the front of the module, 2 superimposed ETFE layers provide solid protection for the internal cells and high light yield over many years. Thanks to a new structure of the outermost layer, slip resistance has been significantly improved and the module can be walked on without any problems. In the long term, higher yields are achieved thanks to better light transmission and significantly less clouding of the transparent ETFE front layers compared to conventional solar modules with different front coatings. The solid ETFE front provides strong protection against hail and makes the module completely resistant to salt water. The integrated AL backsheet virtually eliminates the possibility of cell cracks due to improper handling or installation. The series is equipped with the best solar cells, which offer a high cell efficiency of 22.3 percent.

11 busbar technology

Power management is handled by 11 busbars. With this advanced technology, power management is carried out via eleven electrical conductor tracks (busbars). This enables reliable throughput, even at high currents, while minimizing heat loss. The efficient distribution of power ensures solid performance of the solar modules, resulting in improved overall efficiency and higher yields.

Monocrystalline solar cells

Monocrystalline solar modules are an advanced form of photovoltaic modules made from a single crystal lattice. This crystalline structure enables higher efficiency in converting sunlight into electrical energy compared to other types of solar modules. Monocrystalline cells are characterized by their uniform structure, which allows for more efficient movement of charge carriers. This results in better performance, especially in situations where space is limited, as monocrystalline modules have a higher power density.
