The ELWA Mode Interface from my-PV (MPN: 12-0111) is the ideal link between your ELWA PV water heater and a Modbus-based bus system. Thanks to the two "Temp" terminals, you can connect the included temperature sensor in no time at all. This gives you even more accurate temperature data and allows you to control your application optimally.

Connection options
Power supply - You can either use the supplied plug-in power supply on the micro USB port (5V DC) or use the +24V/GND terminals for a voltage of 12-24V DC.
Temperature sensor - The supplied temperature sensor can be easily connected to the "Temp" terminals. Polarity is not important, which makes installation particularly easy.
Modbus connection - Connect the Modbus to terminals A (D+) and B (D-). It is important to ensure correct polarity to guarantee optimal functionality.
Terminating resistor in the bus system
Bus systems are sensitive to interference, so the use of a terminating resistor (120 ohms) is crucial for optimal function. This resistor should ideally be installed at the point furthest from the bus master. The required resistor is already included in the package, so you can get started right away.
