Kemo M241 Vibration Switch 12V DC
Shipped in 1-3 days
The Kemo M241 vibration switch switches off 12V devices when vibrations are detected (e.g., engine noise) and switches them on again after a time delay when they are stationary. For devices with a current consumption of up to approx. 1000 mA. Indicator via a flashing LED. The vibration switch switches on signal horns, for example, when a machine (e.g., a pump) stops and no longer vibrates. Or a marten repellent when the vehicle no longer has engine vibrations or driver vibrations and is parked.
Function
For switching on signaling devices (e.g., flashing signal, audible signal) when an engine is stopped (no longer vibrating). The connected operating voltage 12V/DC (11-15V) is switched to the output of the module after a short delay and the device connected there is switched on. If the module is operated on a construction site pump, for example, an alarm signal light can be switched on when the pump is at a standstill. Or in a motor vehicle, a marten repellent can be switched on when the car is parked and automatically switched off when the vehicle is in motion (the engine is running).
Technical data
- Operating voltage: 11-15V DC
- Own power consumption: During vibrations, engine running (LED off): approx. 0.000005A (<5μA)
- At rest, no vibration (LED flashing): < approx. 0.000008A (<8μA)
- Max. switching current: 1A
- When idle, the input voltage is switched to the output and the connected device is in operation
- Switch-off delay when motion is detected: approx. 3 seconds
- Switch-on delay at end of movement: approx. 22 seconds
- Switching sensitivity: adapted to vibrations of approx. a car combustion engine
- Operating temperature range: approx. -20°C to +70°C
- Dimensions: approx. 60 x 45 x 20 mm (without mounting brackets)
Installation instructions:
The motor is mounted in a location where vibrations are transmitted to the module and where it does not get too hot, e.g., on the air filter of a pump motor, in the engine compartment of a car, not directly near very hot engine parts (e.g., exhaust pipes). The 12V battery serves as the operating voltage. Please insert a fuse in the supply line between the vibration switch and the positive terminal of the battery. The fuse should be installed as close as possible to the 12V battery so that the supply line to the module is also protected against mechanical damage and short circuits. The signal device is connected to the switch output of the module and is then switched on (with a delay) when the motor being monitored is no longer running. The current consumption of the connected signal device must not exceed 1A.
