The SYN 50-XH-30 from Growatt is a backup box that acts as an emergency power supply for the home. In the event of a power failure, it is capable of providing up to 10kW from the solar storage system. The switchover time is 0.5 seconds. The backup box features a user-friendly design, which makes installation and operation straightforward.

Hybrid inverter
Unlike conventional inverters, hybrid inverters can not only feed the electricity generated by the solar system into the power grid, but also store it in batteries. This means that solar power is also available when the sun is not shining. Another feature of hybrid inverters is their ability to optimize a household's electricity consumption by giving priority to using solar power directly in the household before feeding it into the grid.
Active safety with AFCI function
An arc fault circuit interrupteris a fault arc protection device. It protects electrical circuits in the event of fault arcs and acts as a circuit breaker against contact faults in low-voltage installations. In addition to its protective function, it analyzes current and voltage curves using digital signal processing and interrupts circuits in the event of fault signals. Colloquially, the AFCI is also called a fire protection switch, as incoming signals can prevent fires caused by overheating at poor contact points or by flashovers between two conductors.
The APX battery system
All of the above inverters are compatible with the APX battery system. Thanks to its modular design, the APX system is flexible in use and can be expanded as needed. A battery tower can be constructed with a minimum of one and a maximum of six APX 5.0P-B1 battery modules. One power module is required per tower for operation. You can choose between the APX 98020-P1 or the APX 98034-P2. The BMS must be purchased separately and an additional base is required for floor mounting.
Flexible expansion
The APX battery system from Growatt demonstrates its flexible configuration options here. These can be expanded from 5kWh to 30kWh. Thanks to the simple and modular design, installation and expansion are very straightforward with the aid of cables. Another advance of the new storage system is that, unlike other systems, it no longer requires a battery cabinet. Only a battery base is needed for a secure stand. The APX series supports the combination of mixed battery packs from new and old batches, as well as different capacities.
