This balcony power plant from Offgridtec offers you a powerful solution with a total output of 900W, allowing you to generate part of your household's electricity requirements yourself. This can significantly reduce your overall electricity consumption costs. The system consists of two high-quality Trina Solar solar modules, each with an output of 450W and featuring state-of-the-art technology. To increase efficiency, it includes an HMS-800W-2T microinverter module inverter from Hoymiles. The set also includes a 10 m long Hoymiles connection cable with a field connector for easy connection.

How does a balcony power plant work?

The Offgridtec balcony power plant is a space-saving solar system consisting of a solar module and a matching Hoymiles micro inverter to feed the generated electricity into the in-house power grid. Ideally, the inverter is attached directly to the substructure of the solar module and connected to the module with the solar connector. The 10 m connection cable is connected via the inverter's battery connection and routed directly to the appropriate socket. No special settings are required to use the solar power generated in the home's power grid. If power is available from other sources in the home, this is used preferentially and supplemented by grid power if necessary.

The Trina Solar Vertex S+ (MPN: TSM-450 NEG9R.28) is an effective solar module with an output of 450W that uses monocrystalline TOPCon cells and dual-glass technology. Thanks to multi-busbar technology, it offers improved absorption, low series resistance, improved current dissipation, and reliability. It is certified for extreme wind and snow loads of 5400 - 4000 Pa and features highly transparent, 1.6 mm thick glass with anti-reflective coating. Hoymiles HMS-800W-2T

The HMS-800W-2T (MPN: HMS-800W-2T) from Hoymiles is the perfect micro inverter for your balcony power plant. In addition to the integratedWiFi module, this compact, lightweight (only 3.2 kg) device is ideal for solar power production with up to two solar panels with an output of 320 to 540+W each. Optimal reliability

Micro inverter systems are inherently more reliable than conventional inverters. The decentralized design of a micro inverter system ensures that a fault does not cause the entire PV system to fail. Balcony power plants in Germany

There is currently no law or regulation in Germany governing the generation of solar power for purely personal use. The maximum limit of 600W AC PV power is a reserve value which, according to the current VDE standard, can be fed into an existing socket circuit in a house without overloading it. There are no specifications for independent circuits without additional load. All electrical installations should be carried out in accordance with VDE standards. However, the operation of a balcony power plant via a standard Schuko socket is not prohibited. Registration with the Federal Network Agency is mandatory. However, there are no known cases of fines for failure to register balcony power plants, nor are there any insurmountable problems with grid operators. Compliance with and implementation of standards and obligations is the responsibility of the plant operator.
