How does a balcony power plant work?
The inverter should ideally be mounted directly on the support structure of the solar module and connected to the solar connector at the solar module. With the 5m connection cable, the system is connected and routed directly to the appropriate power outlet. To use the generated solar power in the home electrical network, no special settings are required. If power from local sources is already available, household devices use this first and supplement it with grid power if needed. This set therefore offers you an excellent opportunity to generate part of your household electricity yourself and thereby significantly reduce your overall electricity expenses. The battery allows for efficient energy storage, ensuring the use of solar power even during low sunlight or at night.

Two MPP Trackers for Optimal Solar Yields
With the Maximum Power Point Tracker technology, the best possible yield of a solar system is generated. The MPPT determines the optimal relationship between irradiance, module temperature, and solar cell type throughout the day. With the two MPP trackers in the HMS-800W-2T, the optimal operating points for the two PV strings can be optimized separately. The two trackers operate independently; for example, shading on one string would not affect the second.

Balcony Power Plants in Germany
Currently, there is no law or regulation in Germany governing the generation of solar power for purely private consumption. The limit of a maximum of 600W AC PV power is a reserve value that, according to the current VDE standard, can be fed into an existing socket circuit of a house without overloading it. No specific regulations are mentioned for independent circuits without additional load.
Every electrical installation should be carried out in compliance with VDE regulations. However, operating a balcony power plant via the usual Schuko socket is not fundamentally prohibited. Reporting to the Federal Network Agency is mandatory. However, no cases of penalties for non-reporting of balcony power plants are known, nor are there unresolvable problems with network operators. Compliance with and implementation of standards and obligations lies with the system operator. Many technical and legal pieces of information can already be found on relevant websites.
