The Victron Shunt 500a - 50mV (mpn shu065150050) is required for current meters with analog or digital display instruments, because these are usually realized via a measurement, a very small voltage at a shunt. In the case of the Victron Smartshunts IP65 500a - 2000a it is 50mV. The following applies: the smaller the measuring voltage at the shunts, the smaller the effects on the remaining circuit of the system. With 50mV, this provides an excellent value.
